• The Joy of having a Pastors Wife

   I spoke to my pastors wife last Wednesday night about the Vogue pattern I couldn't figure out. She invited us to come over and swim when I came to show her the pattern. We went today and the dc swam in their pool with their little girl and K-explained the pattern to me. I feel so silly. I just could not figure out what the pattern instructions were saying and after she explained it wa la the dim bulb brightened and its so easy I almost feel silly. So soon I will post a pic. I've got a ton of sewing to do. I've been working on the smocking inset and it is comming along nicely.

   My pastors wife has made beautiful flower gardens and such around their home. It is gorgeous. They have a sweet little flower bed around a tree in their back yard. In the bed I noticed a small marble tomb stone. On it was written, Infant child of R-and K- and a date. She lost a baby to miscarriage years ago. Having had a miscarriage, the little stone stirred my heart. I thought it was a sweet marker of a lost child.

  We had a nice time wandering through her flowers and all looking at the plants and talking about gardening and all. Its been an A+ day.

  Johnathen leaves for Ketchikan tomorrow at 6 am out of St.Louis. I miss him already.
